Arrowmont Workshop 2020

I am very pleased to announce that I will be leading a workshop at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Gatlinburg, TN, June 14-20, 2020. The workshop, Cloth, Needle and Stitch: A Keeper’s Quilt, will focus on rediscovering the pleasures and potential of hand stitching, working with a direct, collage-like process.

Early registration ends February 1. I am looking forward to working alongside new people and sharing an art-making journey together. Arrowmont offers a beautiful natural setting and well-equipped studio spaces. Click the link to see photos and read all about the wonderful workshop opportunities for 2020.

January has found me busy with teaching two methods classes for pre-service teachers and working feverishly on my Wisdom Cloaks series. The cloaks are pretty big, 60” wide, so I am thinking of how I can best take photos for some fast-approaching entry deadlines. I will have four works from the Recollected series exhibited at Saint Mary’s College Moreau Gallery and another from the same series was accepted for exhibit at Artist as Quiltmaker in Oberlin OH.
